 AUSTIN GAMEY GETS TOP CANADIAN DISPUTE RESOLUTION APPOINTMENT

 A Ghanaian Labour and Appropriate Dispute Resolution Expert and Consultant, Austin Akufo Gamey has been appointed as the Executive Consultant for PULSE Africa Inc. The appointment was made by PULSE Institute, a foremost Mediation Group with headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, Canada effective August 24, 2007.

Mr. Gamey, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Gamey and Gamey Academy of Mediation(GGAM), is to champion the Discovery of PULSE conversation frame for capacity building to help prevent conflict and resolve conflict on the African continent. A statement issued and signed by the Founder and President of PULSE Institute, Dr. Nancy Love, said effective use of language skills creates effective conversation. Effective conversations strengthen relationships and organizations, thereby creating peace and increased productivity.

As part of his duties, Mr. Gamey will recruit Country Representatives for African countries who will sign to the PULSE conversation frame. The statement said Heads of States and governments of Africa will be informed through their missions about the need to make use of PULSE Discovery in the prevention of conflicts, in resolution, and to guide organizations, institutions and governments in the pursuit of reforms. PULSE Institute says it will therefore support Mr. Gamey in his quest to maximize the organizational effectiveness and increased productivity for the economic and the well-being of its people, especially Africans.

The statement said PULSE’s initial effort to move its Conversations for Change Frame onto the world stage will begin in Africa. Like fellow Canadians, Stephen Lewis, Jean Chretien and others, PULSE, understands the importance of creating better opportunities for African Nations to help themselves. The statement said the empowering nature of PULSE Frame for conversations will encourage capacity building on the important leverage point which is conversation. The statement said Gamey and Gamey Academy of Mediation has also been admitted as an affiliate of the PULSE Institute, Calgary, and that all certificates issued after verification of project work submitted by participants in Gamey and Gamey Academy of Mediation Executive Diploma in Mediation and Arbitration studies shall be recognised for the purpose. Again PULSE Africa Inc and Gamey and Gamey Academy of Mediation shall collaborate with the PULSE Institute in Calgary, Canada, in the setting up and running of Executive Masters Certificate Programme which shall be considered valid as Masters Certificate of an Academic University. An added advantage is that all project works submitted by professionals participating in such studies shall be published on PULSE Institute and Gamey and Gamey Academy of Mediation websites.
