| Mediation in Uniform | In this five-day course you will:
* Learn and practice a realistic and measureable way to deal with conflict without compromising the fundamental
responsibilities of the chain of command.
* Gain a core leadership requirement.
* Gain practical skills for dealing with internal and external agencies and organizations.
* Learn to handle situations in an efficient and timely manner, and eliminate or reduce the need for intervention.
* Gain proven skills that have been shown to reduce the number of grievances and their associated costs.
* Be awarded with recognition for 40 hours of course credits towards mediator certification with the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society (AAMS).

| PULSE Concepts | Learn and understand the PULSE frame of conversations. You will gain a comprehensive coherent communication skill set which will enable you to become an effective agent of change. THIS COURSE IS A PREREQUISITE TO OTHER COURSES. | 2 |

| PULSE Practice | Learn and practice each stage of the PULSE conversation Frame. You will gain, through demonstration and imitation, a thorough understanding of the intention of each stage of the PULSE Frame and the confidence to use the skills immediately. | 3 |

| PULSE Train-the-Trainer | The purpose of the PULSE Train-the-Trainer retreat will be to prepare trainers in the PULSE Learning Conversation. Using the unique PULSE Frame, you will explore and deconstruct the learning process. | 4 |

| PULSE Advanced for Leaders | Enhance your leadership skills with emotional fitness, and gain new skills for dealing with difficult people, remaining loyal to parties not in the room, and handling a guest at your leadership table. | 5 |

| PULSE Advanced for Mediators | Enhance your mediation practice with emotional fitness for mediators. Learn to be loyal to the absent in pre-mediation meetings and caucuses. Gain confidence in dealing with difficult people, and gain new skills for handling guests in mediation. | 5 |

| 40 Degrees in Conversation | Gain an introduction to the ancient wisdom of the Enneagram. Through experience and exploration, learn the nine types of the Enneagram and the Body, Head and Heart triads. Gain self awareness and an understanding of each Enneagram type and how the triads present themselves in the PULSE conversation. NO PREREQUISITES REQUIRED. | 3 |
