Conversations For Change

The beauty of the PULSE Frame is in its simplicity; its strength is in its complexity. The PULSE Frame is an outline for a structured conversation that is an efficient way to get a resolution or decision in 60 to 90 minutes.Conversations for Change

Five key questions outline the PULSE Conversation:

  • How will the conversation proceed?

The leader Prepares parties for the conversation.
  • What is the conversation about?

Uncover reviews the past.  The leader reframes their circumstances into a positive title for the conversation.
  • Why is this situation important?

In Learn parties speak to each other to gain greater understanding. The leader listens for and identifies each party’s beliefs, expectations, assumptions, concerns and hopes for the future.
  • What if you did this? Or that?

Search is a brainstorm. Together the participants come up with options to satisfy their criteria and resolve their circumstances. The leader captures the options.
  • What next?

In Explain parties write a detailed document that lays out their intentions and commitments for the future. The leader acts as scribe.
